E31G - Parent of Indonesian Citizen
The E31G visa is a Limited Stay Permit for Family Dependents specifically intended for parents of Indonesian citizens. This visa allows the parent of an Indonesian citizen to reside in Indonesia for temporary purposes.
Eligibility:
This visa is for biological or legal adoptive parents of an Indonesian citizen. Proof of the parent-child relationship is required. This can include documents like:
- Birth certificate of the Indonesian child (listing the applicant as a parent)
- Adoption decree (if applicable)
- Indonesian Family Card (Kartu Keluarga – KK) of the child
Permitted Activities:
An E31G visa holder can:
- Live in Indonesia
- Travel in and out of Indonesia for tourism or visiting family and friends
- Attend educational programs (needs to be reported to immigration authorities)

- The E31G visa is not a work visa. Working with this visa is not permitted.

Processing time

Visa Validity
- This visa must be used to enter Indonesia within a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue.
- Please note that the validity period of the visa is different from the period of stay, please check your visa for information on the period of stay.

- Staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit, engaging in prohibited activities, not complying with visa conditions, and/or not complying with Indonesian laws may result in you paying fines, being deported, and/or other legal charges.
- In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card available at the immigration office.
