E31D - Stepchild of Indonesian Citizen

The E31D visa is a Limited Stay Permit for Family Dependents specifically for stepchildren of Indonesian citizens. Similar to the E31C visa for children, it allows the stepchild to reside in Indonesia for a temporary period.

Eligibility:

This visa is for stepchildren of Indonesian citizens. The stepchild’s parent must be legally married to an Indonesian citizen, and the Indonesian citizenship of the step-parent must be officially recognized by the Indonesian authorities.

Permitted Activities:

An E31D visa holder can:

  • Live in Indonesia
  • Attend school (needs to be reported to immigration)
  • Travel in and out of Indonesia
  • Engage in tourism activities
  • Visit family and friends

Important Notes:

  • Unlike the E31C visa, there is no mention of working with an E31D visa. It’s best to clarify with Indonesian immigration if work is permitted under this visa category.
